Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while local people in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has requested "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and implementing penalties," mentioned in a public message.

He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.

Local officials said the urban area endured heavy assaults overnight. A young boy died and three other people were injured.

The assaults follow periods of air raids in the area, sections of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were anticipating further attacks.
